What are the 1 Hop Club rules?
1. Membership
1.1 1 Hop Club membership is personal and non-transferable. A membership may not be shared, resold, or used to facilitate travel for persons other than those listed on the account, save as expressly permitted for Aviator and Clubmaster members under Rule 2.
1.2 There are three membership tiers:
Wayfarer (£25/month) — Off-peak travel for occasional flyers.
Aviator (£100/month) — On-demand travel for regular flyers.
Clubmaster (£1,000/month) — Flexible travel for government, businesses and hotels.
Each tier confers specific booking rights as published on the website and updated from time to time.
1.3 Membership commences on the date of first payment and continues on a rolling monthly basis until cancelled in accordance with Rule 6.
2. Who Can Fly
2.1 The primary account holder may fly on any booking made under their membership.
2.2 Aviator members may also fly immediate family members (spouse, civil partner, and dependent children under 18) named on the account, without restriction.
2.3 Aviator — Crowd Hops. In addition to named family travel, Aviator members receive two Crowd Hops per calendar month (equivalent to one return day trip). A Crowd Hop is a whole-aircraft booking on which the Aviator member may fill every seat with non-member guests — friends joining for a lunch, a golf group, a day trip. No other passenger is required to hold a membership. All guests remain subject to the guest travel limit in Rule 2.5 and must have a valid passport registered on the system in accordance with Rule 4.
Crowd Hops are distinct from positioning legs (Rule 3). A Crowd Hop is a member-initiated social booking of the whole aircraft. A positioning leg is an operationally-driven flight that would otherwise fly empty, on which individual seats are made available to members at a per-seat rate.
2.4 Clubmaster members may designate any named individual to fly, including clients, employees, and guests, subject to passport verification (see Rule 4).
2.5 Guest travel limits. Any individual who travels as a guest under a Wayfarer or Aviator member's booking — including on a Crowd Hop — is permitted to do so on a maximum of two occasions per calendar year across all Wayfarer and Aviator bookings. After two guest flights, that individual must hold a current membership at minimum Wayfarer tier before they may board any further flight booked under a Wayfarer or Aviator account.
Clubmaster members are exempt from this rule. A Clubmaster account confers the right to fly any individual at any time without restriction on guest frequency. Guests travelling under a Clubmaster booking are not counted against the two-flight guest limit and are not required to join as members.
2.6 1 Hop Club reserves the right to decline carriage to any individual who has reached their guest travel limit and has not joined as a member.
3. Positioning Legs
3.1 A positioning leg arises when an Osprey Aviation aircraft is required to reposition between locations and would otherwise fly empty. Rather than waste the capacity, 1 Hop Club broadcasts seat availability on that leg to all current members.
3.2 Positioning legs are available to members of all tiers on a first-come, first-served basis. The per-seat rate is determined by the booking member's tier:
3.3 Positioning legs are typically broadcast at short notice and cannot be scheduled in advance. Availability is not guaranteed.
3.4 Guests may not travel on positioning legs. Only current members may purchase positioning leg seats, and each seat is personal to the purchasing member.
3.5 Positioning legs are entirely distinct from Crowd Hops (Rule 2.3). A positioning leg is an operationally-driven broadcast of otherwise-empty seats. A Crowd Hop is a member-initiated social booking of the whole aircraft. They are separate products and are not interchangeable.
4. Passport & Identity Verification
4.1 1 Hop Club operates cross-border air travel subject to immigration and border control requirements. Every person who flies — member or guest — must have a valid passport registered on the 1 Hop Club system before boarding.
4.2 Passport details are verified at account creation and must be kept current. 1 Hop Club will not process a booking for any passenger whose passport has not been uploaded and accepted.
4.3 Passport identity is the definitive record of a traveller. Guest travel limits (Rule 2.5), blacklists, and any restrictions apply to the passport holder, not to any email address, account name, or booking reference. Creating multiple accounts or using a different email address does not reset or circumvent any limit or restriction.
4.4 Passports are stored securely and used solely for the purposes of travel documentation, identity verification, and compliance with applicable border regulations. We do not share passport data with third parties except where required by law or border authority.
5. Blackout Dates — Wayfarer Tier
5.1 Wayfarer membership is designed for off-peak travel. The following periods are designated as blackout dates during which Wayfarer members may not make new bookings. Existing confirmed bookings made prior to a blackout window being published are honoured.
5.2 Blackout dates are published on the website by 1 October each year for the following calendar year.
5.3 Aviator and Clubmaster members are not subject to blackout date restrictions.
5.4 1 Hop Club reserves the right to add a maximum of two further blackout periods per calendar year in the event of extraordinary demand or operational constraints, with no less than 30 days' notice to Wayfarer members.
6. Cancellation & Re-joining
6.1 Members may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
6.2 Subscribe-Fly-Cancel restriction. Any member who cancels their subscription after having made one or more flights under that membership is subject to a 24-month re-joining blackout before a new membership application will be accepted.
6.3 The 24-month blackout period is applied to the passport holder and cannot be circumvented by re-applying under a different email address, account name, or through a third party's Clubmaster account.
6.4 Members who cancel without having made any flights (e.g., signed up but never flew) may re-join without restriction.
6.5 1 Hop Club reserves the right to terminate a membership immediately and without refund where a member has materially breached these Rules, including but not limited to providing false identity information or facilitating the circumvention of guest travel limits.
7. Booking, Cancellation & No-Shows
7.1 All bookings must be made through the 1 Hop Club booking platform or confirmed in writing with the operations team.
7.2 All prices are one-way per leg. Every price published by 1 Hop Club — whether a whole-aircraft charter rate or a per-seat positioning leg rate — is a single, one-way fare for one flight in one direction.Prices are not return fares. A return journey comprises two separate legs and will be charged twice: once for the outbound leg and once for the inbound leg. There are no return discounts unless specifically confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
7.3 Whole-aircraft bookings are subject to the cancellation terms confirmed at the time of booking.
7.4 Where a flight is cancelled by the operator for reasons within their control, a full refund or reschedule will be offered. 1 Hop Club does not charge a rescheduling fee for operator-initiated cancellations.
7.5 No-shows. A member or guest who fails to present for a confirmed flight without providing at least 4 hours' notice will be deemed a no-show. No-shows are logged. Two no-shows within a 12-month period may result in a booking restriction or membership review.
8. Pets
8.1 Pets are welcome on 1 Hop Club flights. Pet travel is permitted on whole-aircraft bookings only. Pets may not travel on positioning legs or any flight where individual seats are offered on a shared basis.
8.2 All pets must be declared at the time of booking. The member is responsible for ensuring any applicable import/export health and travel documentation is in order prior to departure. 1 Hop Club and Osprey Aviation accept no liability for refusal of carriage arising from incomplete animal documentation.
9. Conduct
9.1 All passengers are expected to behave in a manner consistent with the safety instructions of the operating crew at all times. The pilot-in-command has final authority on all matters affecting the safety of the flight.
9.2 1 Hop Club operates small aircraft in which proximity to other passengers is close. Behaviour that is disruptive, threatening, or unreasonable to crew or fellow passengers will result in immediate termination of the booking and may result in membership cancellation without refund.
9.3 These Rules are governed by the laws of Guernsey.
